PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING

Personal data is collected for maintaining customer relationships related to the WashXL Riihimäki webshop, managing orders, communication, and marketing.
Customers can opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of emails or by contacting customer service. Data is processed within the limits permitted and required by law. No data is transferred outside the EU or EEA.

The legal bases for processing personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) include:

      • The data subject has given consent (Article 6(1)(a));
      • Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Article 6(1)(b));
      • Processing is necessary for legitimate interests pursued by the controller (Article 6(1)(f)).

Legitimate interest is based on the relationship between the customer and the controller and on the reasonable expectations of the data subject at the time of data collection.

The register contains information about individuals and companies who have registered as users of the WashXL webshop.

DATA INCLUDED IN THE REGISTER

The data collected is provided by users upon registration or submitted by the WashXL service provider with the customer’s consent.

The following types of data may be processed:

      • Name
      • Contact details (postal address, phone number, email)
      • Customer relationship details (start/end date, type of connection)
      • Marketing permissions and restrictions
      • Usage of digital services (e.g. newsletter subscriptions) and technical data (e.g. IP address, browser version, referring site)
      • Cookies and related data
      • Marketing and communication records
      • Changes to the above data.

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data stored about you
  • Know how the data is processed and its origin
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Restrict or object to data processing
  • Transfer your data to another system
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • File a complaint with a supervisory authority.

These rights can be exercised by submitting a signed written request to WashXL Riihimäki. Incorrect, outdated, or incomplete data will be corrected or deleted upon request or on the controller’s own initiative.

 

DATA SECURITY, RETENTION & CONFIDENTIALITY

The register is securely stored on an encrypted server located within the EU, in a physically protected data center with iris-recognition access. Access is restricted to authorized personnel, and all data is handled under industry-standard privacy and security protocols.
Access is permitted only to those whose roles require it and who are bound by contractual or legal confidentiality obligations.
WashXL’s website and webshop use SSL encryption to protect communication between the user and the server. All forms submitted are securely transmitted in encrypted format.
Customer data is stored in the customer register until the customer relationship is deemed to have ended.

 

COOKIES

Our website uses cookies to improve user experience. Cookies are standard small files stored on your device by your browser. They help us understand how our site is used, allowing us to improve usability. Cookies can indicate whether a user is a first-time visitor or a returning user.
Customer pages and webshop functionalities are operated by the EasyWash payment service. All cookie use, privacy practices, and terms related to EasyWash (including user rights, order management, and purchase tracking) are governed by EasyWash’s own privacy policy, available via “My Pages” on their website or mobile app.
WashXL is not the data controller for EasyWash’s systems, customer portals, or car wash subscription services. The customer can access their EasyWash account to review personal data, download receipts, view usage history, and monitor car wash activity.
Cookies we use do not store personal or identifiable information. If you do not wish to accept cookies, you can change your browser settings to delete existing cookies, block new ones, or receive a warning when cookies are being saved.
